Top firms battle to design ‘living bridge’

A host of Britain’s top architects have been shortlisted to design a new £40million bridge across the River Clyde. Six of the country’s best-known practices will battle it out for the right to build the link between Tradeston and the Broomielaw in Glasgow. The “living” footbridge will be designed for pedestrians and cyclists and will boast bars and restaurants.
