The Office of Public Works is looking for a specialist adviser to help oversee the proposed new Abbey Theatre project. The OPW has issued a request for tenders, seeking providers of theatre consultancy specialist services in connection with the development of a new building for the national theatre in Dublin. The role of the consultant will include advising the OPW about the international design competition for the theatre and assisting in the preparation of a comprehensive output specification for the detailed design, construction and maintenance requirements of the Abbey. The consultant will also assist the OPW in evaluating and selecting the successful tendering developer, and will provide a monitoring role throughout the construction phase of the project.
