Published in The Building News, October 22 1880. “This perspective drawing was prepared before the plans were sent to the Education Department for approval, and does not show the exterior exactly as it is now being built, as the plans were returned with a request that part of the ashlar and ornamental masonry, such as architraves, centre pediment, gable fillings, &c., should be struck out, which was done.”
