Grade II listed. “This house is now being completed, from the designs of Mr. John Thomas Wimperis, of 25, Sackville-street, Piccadilly, for Mr. Herbert F. Baxter. A Domestic Medieval style has been adopted, admitting of much variety of treatment, and is executed in red brick, with black pointing, Portland stone dressing, Broseley tile roofs, ornamental crestings and terminals, with Wrought-iron finals to tower, partly gilded. The builder is Mr. William Brass, of Old-street, St. Luke’s.” Published in The Building News, February 18 1881.
