Call for Curator for the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2010

Applications are now being invited for the role of Curator of Ireland’s entry in the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2010. The Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) has been appointed by Culture Ireland in partnership with the Arts Council to act as the Commissioner for Ireland’s national representation at the Venice Biennale in September 2010. Working with Culture Ireland and the Arts Council, the IAF is to manage an open selection process for Curator.

Culture Ireland is committed to Irish participation in the Venice Architecture Biennale and is working closely with the Arts Council to increase opportunities and profile opportunities for Irish architects at this key international event.

Applicants must have a proven record in the architectural and/or cultural sector and be engaged with or representative of specific creative and curatorial practices. Applicants must have detailed knowledge of current trends in architecture, nationally and internationally.

Deadline for proposals is 12noon on Monday 2nd November 2009.
