1525 – The Small Windmill, Skerries, Co. Dublin

Skerries has a long tradition of harnessing wind and water power, and in the period 1821 to 1839 two working windmills are recorded. The mill with its waterwheel and two windmills have been restored giving the town a unique feature of a working wind and waterpower heritage centre.

The small windmill was built around 1525 and restored to working condition in 1995.
