1880 – Sutton Castle Hotel, Sutton, Co. Dublin
Architect: Alfred Darbyshire
Designed by Manchester based architect Alfred Darbyshire as the main home for the Jameson family of the whiskey fame. Alfred Darbyshire had worked on their distilleries previously. The house is built on several terraces and has magnificent views over Dublin Bay. Most of the main reception rooms were on the first floor to take advantage of the views. Now being used as an hotel for many years.
