Architect: Ernest C. Lee

A premiated design from the competition to design a Museum for the Royal Dublin Society on Kildare St. Ernest Lee was one of the five architects shortlisted in the first competition for the Science and Art Museum, Dublin, 1881-1882, submitting a French Renaissance design. The winning design, after a second competition, was produced by T.N. Deane & Son. Lee was paid compensation of £150 and exhibited his design at the Royal Academy in 1883. Published in The Building News, October 5th 1883.
