“The above house has been erected on a charming site on the outskirts of the Woburn Estate, and in the midst of exquisite woodland scenery. The lower part is built of red sand-faced brick, and the upper part of stucco, and covered with a red tile roof. The work has been carried out by Messrs. Spencer, builders, Retford. The architects are Messrs. Brewill and Baily, Pelham Chambers, Angel-row, Nottingham.” Perspective View including ground & 1st floor plans published in The Building News, June 2nd 1899.
