1901 – Former Trustee Savings Bank, Rathmines, Dublin

Architect: Vincent Craig

tsb_lge

Designed by the Belfast based architect Vincent Craig (brother of the first Prime-minister of Northern Ireland, Lord Craigavon) as a branch for the Belfast Banking Company. This later became part of the Trustee Savings Bank. There is still a terra cotta panel plaque set into the wall with Belfast’s coat of arms and motto: protanto quid retribuamus. A small building in a Scottish Baronial style, it turns a sharp corner with a corner turret. No longer in use as a bank.
