On the northern side of James Street, lies the former brewery power station, a fine monumental mid-century industrial building. Recently converted into a distillery. Alexander Gibb & Partners was a British firm of consulting civil engineers, founded in 1922 by Sir Alexander Gibb, since 2001 part of Jacobs Engineering Group.
