‘Build Something Modern’

Still Films will go into production with “˜Build Something Modern’, a feature documentary examining the peculiar history of the exportation of designs by Irish architects. Cameras will roll in and around Dublin for approximately one week starting on Friday, July 16th.

The feature was commissioned by the Irish Arts Council and the Dublin International Film Festival to produce and will explore the strange phenomenon of Irish architects exporting hundreds of modernist designs for structures to be built in Africa in the early 1960’s. The budget for the feature is €80,000.
