Howard Hoppin was a Providence RI based architect. Hop­pin was pre­si­dent of the Rhode Is­land Chap­ter of the Ame­ri­can In­sti­tute of Ar­chi­tects from 1891 to 1893 and 1910 to 1912. He de­si­gned the Rhode Is­land School of De­sign, Cen­tral High School, Chris­tian Sci­ence Church, and Cas­well Hall at Brown Uni­ver­sity, all in Pro­vi­dence. Published in the American Architect and Building News, January 12 1889.
