Billed as “A guide to building your own home with 25 new house designs by Reg Chandler, Des Doyle, Arthur Gibney, Ray MacDonnell, and Allan O’Regan. Described as ” a compact single-storey three bedroom house with the functions of kitchen, dining and lounge kept traditonally separate in three separate rooms. The energy saving double porch leads into the hallway. Out of thise the lounge opens, fulfilling the funtion of the traditional parlour and located to the front of the house…. The construction of the house can be in traditional materials – concrete block, rendered or, an interesting alternative, in Forticrete exposed concrete block.”
