Published from The Roadstone book of House Designs, produced in 1980. Billed as “A guide to building your own home with 25 new house designs by Reg Chandler, Des Doyle, Arthur Gibney, Ray MacDonnell, and Allan O’Regan.” Described in the book as “In this L-shaped house, the L is used to enclose a private area at the quiet rear of the house. With the lounge on this side of the house there are, depending upon the site, different possibilities for capturing views from the generous picture window space. Features are the walk-in store in the lounge are and the bay window in the kitchen/breakfast area…. The construction of the house is in masonry block which harmonises with Stonewold grey roofing tiles. Again there is a strong and elegantly articulated roof line with exposed natural wood beams at the gables echoing the timber theme of the hardwood windows and door.”
