1980 – The Roadstone book of House Designs #9

Architect: Raymond MacDonnell

Published from The Roadstone book of House Designs, produced in 1980. Billed as “A guide to building your own home with 25 new house designs by Reg Chandler, Des Doyle, Arthur Gibney, Ray MacDonnell, and Allan O’Regan. Described as “a house which echoes the vernacular. It has been designed specifically for a western landscape. It is particularly appropriate for a northern site with its small front windows. As with traditionl homes, the gable walls master the roof. The walls, white in colour, contrast with the dark or straw coloured roof.”
