Grafton Architects win competition to design new university campus in Lima

Grafton Architects have just been announced the winners of an International Architectural Competition for a new University Campus of Engineering and Technology, UTEC, in Lima, Peru. In the two-stage Competition, four Peruvian practices and Grafton Architects reached the final five. The new campus is situated in the district of Barranco in the city of Lima, overlooking a prime traffic route in the city. The building consists of 30,000m2 with laboratories, teaching facilities and a cultural centre .The winning project is conceived as a man-made cliff overlooking the motorway, with a series of cascading gardens overlooking the adjacent residential zone.
