Architect: Walter G. Doolin
Proposed and unbuilt design for Canon Smithwick. “The work is intended to be carried out in two stages, the first portion to be completed being the apse, tower, transepts, &c. The existing church, a single nave 30 ft. wide, will be retained until the completion of the first stage, when it will be cleared away and replaced by the new nave, which will occupy the same site, aisles being also added. Our illustration is from a drawing by Mr Walter Doolin, B.K., architect, exhibited in the Royal Hibernian Academy this year”
