“This house is in course of erection near Battle. It stands on an eminence, in a well wooded country. The materials are brick, stone, and timber. The work is being carried out from the designs and under the superintendence of Mr. W.H. Oakley, architect.” Perspective view including ground plan published in The Building News, October 7th 1881.
