This apartment building was originally designed as cast-in-place concrete. But with the City of Winnipeg just accepting prestressed concrete at the time of construction, an alternate design was prepared in precast concrete components. When completed, this 8-storey apartment building was the tallest all-precast building in Canada. Highly commended in various architecture awards and publications at the time of completion, Grosvenor House remains a striking development.
