“With this issue we publish a perspective of the new premises in Royal-avenue, Belfast, for Mr. George Tate, rent-agent. The building will have a frontage of 27ft., and rise to a height of 59ft. to the top of the parapet, being the height required by the Corporation for this portion of the avenue. The depth of the site is 52dt. 6in. With the exception of one small shop, the entire building is let for offices. The front is worked in red Dumfries sandstone, rubbed to a smooth surface. Mr. W.J. Fennell of Chicester-street is the architect, and Messrs. H. and J. Martin are the contractors.” Published in the Irish Builder, August 15 1885.
