1850 – Glynch House, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan

0061

Glynch House has been attributed to Sir Richard Morrison due to its similarities to his style for middle-sized country houses. The symmetrical front elevation has recesses for the ground floor windows, and a fine tripartite window over the entrance portico.

Built for Joseph Rogers. Newbliss was established as a village by Robert Ker by about 1750, and by 1800 the linen trade was thriving here.
