1879 – O’Brien Memorial, San Francisco, California

Architect: Laver & Curlett

0006

An elaborate memorial to a member of the Flood & O’Brien families who were wealthy mine owners in California. Seemingly the competition entry was decided upon by the deceased prior to his death and was “as desired”. Described as “a combination of the transition period, from what is termed by the professsion, late Norman and early English.”
