Open House Cork looking for volunteers

Organisers of Open House Cork are seeking volunteers for this year’s event. The popular architectural festival returns to Cork for a second year from Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd.

Volunteers are being sought to help showcase the design and creativity of architecture in Cork, with 20 buildings open to the public free-of-charge, many of them private homes. There are over 30 events taking place including on-site tours, workshops and talks. Buildings include the contemporary coolness of St. Anne’s, O’Connor Ville on Tower Street along with public buildings such as the multi-million euro St Angela’s School on Patrick’s Hill, designed by RIBA Royal Gold Medal award-winning architects O’Donnell + Tuomey.
