2003 – Red River College, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Architect: Corbett Cibinel Architects
Corbett Cibinel Architects rehabilitated a vacant, city block of late 1880 buildings on Princess Street to house 2000 Red River College students in modern media and information technology programs. The restored façades and interior elements of the original buildings were preserved and integrated into a state-of-the-art design incorporating “green” building techniques. Some of the historic interior features of the new campus include original interiors, a remnant of the Winnipeg Grain and Produce Exchange board, and bank vault doors.
