1857 – Unbuilt Design for Halifax Town Hall, Yorkshire

Perspective View published in The Building News, October 23rd 1857. A competition was in 1856/57 and the local council requested Charles Barry judge the design entries; he disliked all three shortlisted entries and was asked in turn to submit his own design. His design was accepted.
