1903 – Mutual Life Insurance Company Building, Newark, New Jersey

Designed by Beaux-Art trained architect George B. Post. Post’s other notable architected buildings include, the New York Cotton Exchange, the New York World Building (or Pulitzer Building, which, at the time, was the tallest building in the world), the New York Stock Exchange Building, and the Wisconsin State Capitol. The building was later sold to the Archdiocese of Newark and served as home to Essex Catholic High School until 1979. The building was again sold, and today serves as a nursing home. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
