Perspective view published in The Building News, January 3rd 1879. This design by Pearson was not chosen, instead a design by Keith Young was constructed. It was destroyed by a direct hit during the Blitz on April 20, 1941, and its parish was later united with St. George, Bloomsbury, in 1952.
