Colwall Park Racecourse was a British horse racing venue which operated from 1900 to 1939.
Although a Congregational Church opened in 1909 which was replaced in 1933,
The library was a joint project funded by Andrew Carnegie and the local council on land provided by the council.
Designed by James Glen Sivewright Gibson (1861-1951) after an architectural competition and constructed between 1900 and 1905.
