Designed by Chester’s famous architect John Douglas, and erected in 1897 for the Bank of Liverpool Limited.
“This building was the gift of Mi. Thomas Brocklebank and Mary Petrena, his wife, in memory of their father Ralph Brocklebank.
“One of the most complete settlements erected in modem times is the village at Port Sunlight,
“These cottages form part of Messrs. Lever’s “model” village at Port Sunlight. They are built near Bebington Station,
“This design was submitted in an open competition. The sum available was £4,000, which was to include a fire-station and caretaker’s house.
