Does anyone know when this unique style of Street nameplate was first introduced?
Note the unique border and font.
And any idea who the designer was?It was deployed across Dublin city, County & Dun Laoghaire Borough. I believe it dates from the early 1930s – very possible a pre Eucharistic Congress initiative to make navigating easier for so many visitors.
