      Hi there

      probably been asked this already… I cycle past this new development [where they’ve shamelessly torn down the old wharehouses] and around the perimeter fence there are jets of steam/gas/smoke coming out into the air. What is this? Some soil-cleaning operation? A compressor or water pipe – with holes in it?

      Please pardon my ignorance, just think it looks odd.

      Is this at the end of Pearse St, near Charlotte Quay? They’re decontaminating the soil on that site, I think.

      The soil of the Spencer Dock site has to be decontaminated as well which is probably what they are doing at the moment. Nobody remembers all the hoo-haa by the local residents and Dermot Desmond that time at the inquest at the Gresham.
