1150 – Baltinglass Abbey, Co. Wicklow Baltinglass Abbey is one of the most important Cistercian abbeys of Leinster. and was founded in 1148 by Dermot McMurrough, king of Leinster.
1860 – St. Joseph’s Church, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow Architect: John Bourke Designed by John Bourke around 1860, this is a fine gothic revival church with a symmetrical composition.
1879 – Former Presentation Convent, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow Detached five-bay two-storey convent, finished in render with granite dressings and block and start quoins with a more elaborate granite entrance porch.
1884 – Rectory, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow Architect: Richard O’Brien Smyth Erected at the same time as the Church of Ireland by the same architect Richard O’Brien Smyth.
1884 – St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow Architect: Richard O’Brien Smyth Selected after an architectural competition, and constructed between 1882-84. In plan, cruciform with a porch to the north-east and a tower to the south-west.
