The original name of Victoria Street in Dublin’s Portobello area was Kingsland Park, which was developed from 1865 by Frederick Stokes.

The church dates from the Norman period but has substantial later medieval work. Until the fourteenth century,
St Mary’s Priory was founded in 1855. In May 1864 the foundation stone for the Priory buildings was laid by Rev.
