Unlike many stations on the Great Northern Railway, Victoria Bridge station was of wood and not the polychromic brick used by Mills.
Unusual station layout with main building lower than the line and platforms. The last major work of Berkeley Deane Wise who retired in 1906 due to ill-health.
This was the fourth depot built by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) from the construction of the main line through the Manitoba capital in the early 1880’s.

The Terminal building exterior was a mixture of masonry and terra cotta brick. The first story of the building was done in Indiana blue limestone.
Constructed by the US Government, Pennsylvania Railroad, and the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, the cost of the land and terminal exceeded 18 million in 1907.
