The European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe have announced the 40 shortlisted works that will compete for the 2015 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.
The Saw Swee Hock Student Centre at the London School of Economics designed by O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects has won the RIBA London Building of the Year award.
Irish firm O’Donnell + Tuomey, who have been previously nominated four times but never won the prize, have made the shortlist with the red brick Saw Swee Hock Student Centre completed for the London School of Economics.
