Described in The Irish Builder: “One is a single house, and the other, having windows in the gable,
Designed for Robert Atkinson J.P. of Beaumont. Published in The Irish Builder, September 15 1880. The lodge still exist but the gateway has been widened by removing the central gateposts and the gates removed.
“The existing lodge next University-road being in a very dilapidated state, the directors intend to rebuild it as speedily as possible and with that object they have obtained plans.
Now demolished, but originally built in two stages to the one design due to land lease issues.
Unbuilt plans for the extension of existing church, constructed in 1870, and the addition of a school.
“THE plans of these villas were prepared for a gentleman residing in Belfast, who for many years has been an annual visitor to this watering place.
