logo_douglaswallaceLeading Irish firm of architects Douglas Wallace said yesterday it will recruit 100 additional staff as part of growth plans which will see the company expand operations in Ireland, the UK and Europe over the next three years. The move follows two recent high-profile acquisitions by the firm for a total consideration of €3.7m. Douglas Wallace, which specialises in the creation of commercial, retail, hotel and spa environments, recently acquired the top Belfast firm of architects Ferguson Wheeler for €2.7m. This was followed by the buy-out of London-based Corporate Edge Interiors and Architecture in a deal worth €1m. Douglas Wallace already has London offices with significant UK projects including the redevelopment of Bow Street Magistrates Court in Westminster and the Queensmere Observatory Centre in Slough, Berkshire.
