The Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland (RSAI) in partnership with the Graphic Studio Dublin will deliver a one-week workshop that pairs architectural study with printmaking at their Georgian era building, Society House. This will take place from June 27 until July 2 2011. The workshop will culminate in an exhibit at Society House. Dr. Kelly Fitzgerald, Hon.Gen. Secretary RSAI, and Margaret Stover, visual artist, Teaching Artist /Museum Educator with the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust, will co-facilitate the workshop.

Throughout the workshop participants will creatively and critically engage with Georgian architecture. Through a variety of art processes participants will respond to the spaces and ornament of the house. From basic architectural terms and printing techniques, to more complex architecture and art concepts, participants’ 2D prints and plans will detail their interaction with Society House.

No prior printmaking experience required. For further information contact kelly.fitzgerald@ucd.ie
