Waterford Festival of Architecture 2011

logo-iaaThe 2011 Waterford Festival of Architecture celebrates with the theme of Architecture and Craftsmanship and a full programme of mostly free events on during the festival from May 5th through 8th. The very first John Roberts Festival took place in the year 2000 to celebrate the buildings of Waterford’s Georgian architect; among them Christ Church Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Bishops Palace and the Theatre Royal. The festival has grown from strength to strength and marked its ten year anniversary in 2010 by changing its name and extending its programme. The 2011 festival theme is ‘architecture and craftmanship’. The weekend is full of opportunities to be outdoors and surrounded by the contributions to architecture by John Roberts, the inspiration behind the creation of the festival.
