Art Deco Dublin inaugural meeting

Catherine Thibault, a French national, now based in Dublin is inviting those interested in the Art Deco style to a public meeting in the Irish Architectural Archive to form a new group. According to Catherine, “I am an Art Deco enthusiast and would like to encourage Appreciation and Conservation of Art Deco Buildings and to strenghten knowledge of Ireland’s Artistic and Cultural Heritage of this era, therefore I will held an Inaugural Meeting in the Arhcitectural Archive.

“The meeting will aim to set up a voluntary organisation and find active supporters to organize a festival , walking tours…. We would like to gather with all Art Deco enthusiasts and experts to join efforts to RECORD and PRESERVE the architectural, cultural and social aspects of ART DECO era (1920-40s).

The meeting will be held at The Irish Architectural Archive, 45 Merrion Square on the 15th May, 2012 at 11am.
