Long established hotel, now falling into dereliction, after closure in 2011 and being left to rot. The owners were unknown until finally identified in 2015. In July 2015, Leitrim County Council issued notices under section 59 of the Planning and Development Act to the owners.

The notices require substantive works to be carried out to save the protected half of the development and further notices have also issued to the owners under the Derelict Sites Act, requiring them to repair the rear extension on the property and clean the surrounding grounds of rubbish and debris.

The original building is a detached seven-bay two-storey double-pile hotel, built c.1860, with projecting entrance bay with pyramidal roof and gabled dormer lights.
