A Plan and Elevation of a Casino, to be built at Lough Cutra, near Gort, in Galway, for John Prendergast Smyth, Esq. M.P.

“This Building is designed for the accommodation of parties of pleasure on the lake, upon the banks of which it is situated. The views of the neighbouring hills are extensive and variegated, interspersed with plantations; and the surrounding rocks form a fine contrast with the lake. The Offices are intended to be partly on the basement flioor, and partly behind the rooms on the principal story, and to be concealed by the plantations. The stone for the building is of an excellent quality and colour, and is to be found in a quarry not a quarter of a mile from the spot.”
