Liskeard Library is an original John Passmore Edwards Library, designed as a purpose-built library for the town of Liskeard in 1896,
Opened as a bank branch in 1897, the building was later occupied by the National Provincial Bank,
“This building was erected in 1898 for the Bath Co-operative Cabinet Makers’ Company by Messrs.
“These schools, which cost 1,390, arc built of brick with Hum stone dressings, and have accommodation for 600 scholars — 200 infants and 400 mixed.
Cabot Tower was constructed in memory of John Cabot, 400 years after he set sail from Bristol and landed in what was later to become Canada.
“This church, which has been built for the Rev. F. Harrison, occupies an exceptionally picturesque site on the hillside above the “By-Brook,”
“This design was recently submitted, by Mr. R. Knill Freeman, architect, Bolton, in a limited competition for this work,
“The building, as shown in the illustration, has been erected on a charming site in Alum Chine,
